Throw Back Thursday

Everyone always ask who does Theo look like.  Or wow he looks just like Jackson.  Or wow he looks exactly like Nash.  The truth is, he looks like Theo and a lot like both of his brothers.  Handsome.  Here are some 'throwback Thursday' pictures for you.  Who is who?

Theodore Joseph - 7 weeks

Nash William - 7 weeks

Jackson Arthur - 7 weeks

Weekend Goodness

With a newborn on our hands we haven't really made any summer vacation plans.  I don't know why, the newborn is the easy part it is the other two that are not so easy.  ;)  But, it has worked out great.  There is so much going on right in our back yard.  We all love exploring the area on the weekends when dad is here for back up!  This past weekend we went to Jordan Lake.  I know it is 20 minutes from our house and I have never been.  We went to an awesome spot called Parker's Creek with a little beach area, play ground, grills, etc.  We will be back.  We ended the beautiful weekend with a Durham Bulls game.  America!

They were 'cold.'  We are not used to having no humidity in July thanks to Hurricane Arthur.

Watermelon!

'Hey mom, Theo likes the same shows as me!'

Post church book store reading.

Go Bulls! Go Baseball! Go Boys!

'Merica!!

Sure there are a lot of things wrong with our country, but I love America. I feel so lucky to have grown up in the USA and am very thankful I get to raise 3 boys here.  I look forward to many July fourths blaring out Lee Greenwood's, God Bless the U.S.A, in the back yard just as I did when growing up.
And I am proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free, and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me and I gladly STAND UP

American Studs

Our Annual neighborhood parade and party.  Maybe my favorite event of the year.

Mom! I'm going to da bouncy house again, ok?!
Because what can be more patriotic than a gigantic bouncy house.

A real firetruck that we can sit in!

So you are telling me I slept through the parade and cookout?! Dang I should have slept more last night.

Cul-de-sac baseball and sparklers, a perfect ending to a perfect day.

little get away

This past Sunday we decided to take a quick trip down to Wilmington.  We stayed at my sister's apartment that was vacant for the night.  Sunday we cooked out at one of my dearest friends house, mad I didn't take a single picture, and it was a delicious time.  The older guys are starting to be able to just play in the backyard without too much fighting so the adults can spend some actual time together!  Monday morning it only took us 3 hours to get packed up for the beach and then we stayed out there for 3 plus hours.  Success! After some naps we met another friend and her little boy at the one and only Chuck E Cheese! Who needs Disney World?

You can't rush cool.

1st beach trip at 6 weeks old.

License to chill.

Handsome boys.

I was there too! Posted up by the tent, paci in hand.

Chuck e cheese!!  The pizza is pretty good.

Worn out boys.

T-BALL!!

The day finally arrived!  Jackson's first t-ball practice.  We have been patiently counting down to this day for at least 2 months.  This morning he hopped in our bed at about 6:30am… 'Hey dad, guess what today is?!'  We all got up and ready and for the first time were on time for something.  He loved every minute of it.  So did Nash, who looks three years old anyways so we let him help out.  So did Charlie, who is helping coach and thinks they are going to have a really good team.  So did Theo, who slept soundly in his carrier the whole time on this not so typical cool June morning.  And if everyone is happy, I am very happy!

His new picture pose…?  Talk about intimidating.

Take me out to the ball game!

Coach Charlie!  Let's go Thunder Ducks! (they picked the team name, I am digging it)

USA!

This guy was up all night drinking in celebration of the USA making it to the knock-out round in the World Cup.  I found this oldie but goodie onesie for him to wear.  It was passed down from his older brothers.  Like all his clothes, hand-me-downs.  I prefer to call them 'vintage.'

1 month stats

It may come as a shocker but we have got another big baby boy on our hands.  His father is proud.

Height - 23" - 94%
Weight - 12 lbs 14oz - 96%
Head - 15.43" - 92%

I'm sexy and I know it.

How much did they say I weighed mom?  Should I eat again?  Because I will.  I mean it has been at least an hour right?
