Virtual Schooling

We are 4 (5? 6?) weeks in on this thing we call virtual schooling during a pandemic.  I meant to post this earlier but all of the computers are tied up, as is the internet, and my brain or lack of brain.  These kids are living the dream.  A little online work and a lot of outside playtime.  Our backyard is basically one big frat party minus the alcohol and explicit lyrics blaring out of the Alexa.  I will look back and remember this time as my loss of sanity, they will see it as the best semester of their life.  These goobers keep it happy and real during the Corona virus and for that I am grateful.  Keep working hard teachers, we owe you big, real real big.
First day pic! We weren't late and didn't have to look for shoes!

1st Grade with Ms. Smith.  Bless her.

3rd Grade with Ms. Lovetinsky.  Bless her.

5th grade with Ms. Merritt.  Bless her.

Farris Family Beach Trip!

Busted out of Chapel Hill for another beach trip this summer with Farris, Carinci, Asma families.  You can't really beat a week at the beach.  I love my people!

July 4th

No big parades or firework celebrations this year, but our awesome street made the most of July 4th.  I had to get my annual picture with my #1 girlfriend.  'Merica!!

The Beach!

We went to the beach!  It was so nice to get away with family.  A week of no worries except the sand stuck in all the bathing suits and what drink to make next.  I could quarantine for a while longer at the beach!

We MISSED the Fowler family.

Big cousin Winnie!

Good eats!

More good eats!

Handsome big bros.  They got taken down, wave after wave after wave and loved every bit of it.

Winner, winner, crab for dinner.

Or a fish?!

The man, the myth, the Theo!

Bikini love!

Blues are Back, sorta

The Blues baseball team had a scrimmage last week.  The first sporting event in too too long.  It was very relaxed -and social distanced- and all the players got a chance to pitch.  J-man was throwing the heat.  I guess 4 months off does the body good.  I mean he struck out 5 of 6 batters and only pinged one in the head.  Thankfully it hurt Jackson more than it did the batter.  My baby boy.  Time flies, but 10 year olds are really fun and a lot more self sufficient.  Power on baby mamas. (I am speaking to the choir.)  It only gets better.

Wellness Check - Check - Check - Check

I pushed all these spring babies wellness checks back to summer... thinking we would be in the clear of Covid-19.  Nope, still here.  So, we loaded up, washed our hands, checked our temperature, masked up and were escorted up to see our favorite, Dr. Snyder.  She asked everyone to raise their hand if you eat vegetables.  J raised his while smirking.  Theo raises his half way up.  Nash talks anyways and explains he doesn't really like them but will eat carrots, cucumbers and sometimes broccoli.  'I LIKE RANCH!' -Winnie

So here we are, the best part, stats!

Winnie - 37lbs. 8oz. - 91%
3ft. 2.43in. - 72%

Theo - 50lbs. 11oz. - 74%
3ft. 11in. - 77%

Nash - 69lbs. 11oz. - 84%
4ft. 5in. - 84%

Jackson - 88lbs. 3oz. - 86%
4ft. 9in. - 79%

Summer Time

So long Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade!  Summer time is officially here, even though we are going on about 3 months over here.  Schools shut down in early March for a world wide pandemic that is still going on.  Dang Covid 19.  I tried to explain that they will one day read about this in history books.  One day soon, I hope.  As in, I hope they go back to school in the fall.  These 3 months have made me even more thankful for our teachers, health care workers, delivery drivers, toilet paper makers and Jmikes sub making specialist.  Wash your hands!
