7 year stud

Nash had his 7 year appointment this week - more spring break fun.  ;)  He is 90% height, 80% weight and they no longer measure your head, but we all know what that would be anyways.  He is a handsome, loud bro and charmed all the doctors as usual.

A stuffy Winnie tagged along and the doc checked her ears.  A double ear infection.  Whoops, home girl is a tough little nugget and way less whiney that her big bros.

Day of Giving

Wednesday was Jersey Mike's annual day of giving.  100% of proceeds from all of the local stores went to Military Missions in Action.  Just one of the hundreds of reasons I love being part of Jersey Mike's! Be a sub above.

'On Wednesday, March 27Jersey Mike’s Subs expects to generate more than $6 million in sales — and give it all to charity. It’s the sub company’s 9th Annual Day of Giving when more than 1,500 Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants nationwide will donate their resources and 100 percent of sales to help local organizations.'

clean teeth!

The spring break fun continues.  3 out of 4 in the dentist chair - go ahead and take all our money!  BUT - NO CAVITIES!  We have had a few in our past visits and it is not cheap.  We were pumped and celebrated with 'soft' ice cream - nothing sticky or crunchy afterward and we are big time rule followers, obviously.

She has not been yet (whoops) and she walked around bare foot and scattered snacks all over the floor and ate sugar melts right in the dentist chair.  Queen.

Great Wolf

Spring Break 2019 starting off strong with a night at the one, the only, Great Wolf Lodge!  This is a favorite for all ages and not too shabby for parents either.  24 hours is about all you need, but you never have to leave the 'lodge' with everything right at your fingertips. It is a  howwwlllllling good time.

Obligatory entrance picture.

The only picture I got in the water park.  We are all hands on deck with this crew.

COUSINS!  The Carinci family came and had dinner with us.  The best.

Done.

These savages bring me so much joy.

sick days

Theo got the flu last week.  He woke up one morning with a mild temperature and said his head hurt. I had been warned that some of his classmates had the flu and strep so I took him right on in to the Target minute clinic.  Love that place.  He confirmed positive for the flu and I bought all the cleaning supplies and meds and promised we would quarantine him and all wash our hands over and over.  That lasted about 2 hours.  How do you separate your kids when one is sick?! Thankfully Theo had a very brief and mild case.  Maybe we caught it early or late or it wasn't bad since we got the flu shot, who knows, but I will take it.  So far so good around here, keep washing those hands!

Opening Day

Opening Night of the 2019 SDLL Spring Season.  Jackson started at pitcher, he was pumped, cool, calm and collected -  way more so than his mother.  He did great, struck out 3 batters in 2 innings and made an awesome play at home plate.  I am super proud of this boy, but I will be ok if he decides he doesn't want to be pitcher.  A friend told me that mother of the pitcher is the toughest job at the diamond.  I believe it!  Cheers to SPRING and looking forward to lots of ball and warm weather!

baby girl

One day she will not cheer 'yeahhh mommmyyyy!!' when I walk in the room.  She will not surprise me with a huge squeeze hug.  She will not want me to hold her all the time or constantly be in an arms reach of me.  She will not want me to rock her to sleep for hours every night or lay beside her crib on the floor.  So I will soak it all in because time is a weird thing and for her it is moving pretty fast.

Pi Day!

Yesterday was March 14th - aka 3.14, Pi Day - for all you normal people out there.  Jackson's class had a competition on who could memorize the most digits for Pi, the winner, gets a whole pie!  A competition and a pie, J-man was ALL in.  He memorized 53 digits in two days. 53! Who does this? I am beginning to question if I am even his mother...

And get this, another girl got 60.  Who the heck are these kids?  Don't fret, I am getting Jackson a pie, whatever kind he wants.

Flag Football

Another season in the books for I9 Flag Football.  This season we lucked out and Jackson and Nash could both play in the 7-8 league.  Jackson has a cannon of a throw and Nash is always there to catch it.  I love watching their brotherly 'love' on the field.

Best team photo ever.  I should have stood in the middle and we could have had a Christmas card picture.  #1 coach Dad & Will!

HEELS!

Turn down for what...
Best get you that Jersey Mike's sub at the game.  Someone was up and at em super early making sure they were made with love and extra juice.

The tour continues

The Bulldogs finished their undefeated season and begin their celebratory tour around Chapel Hill.  We had to turn down the White House (kids have school, Trump) but gladly had a little shoot around at the Dean Dome!
Not a bad Sunday afternoon.

Winnie has come a long way since her diapers to dorm crawl, over a year ago?!

The rebounding King. Swished it.

Luke May even joined us.  Of course who became all buddy buddy with him... Nash.  'Nash you can not punch Luke May in the gut, even if you are just joking, no.'  Maybe he baby-sits?

That Dean Dome life.  'I gotta put this on Instgram.'

Little bros and sis even got to run the scoreboard, I mean does it get any cooler?

Bulldogs!

Let's go red Bulldogs!  They were THE champions this season.  It was such a fun group of kids to watch and families to hang out with on the sidelines.  I am super proud of Jackson as he always hustled, got so many rebounds and even swished some free-throws!  He may have hit his 'prime' in the 7-8 year old rec league and we are riding it out!  Yes, we! Who do you think found his jersey every game and made sure he as only a few minutes late and kept his siblings off the court... mamas!

Assistant Coach Charlie - daddy!  Love this picture so much, thanks Tat-Tat.

Undefeated season!

And where else would one have a post game celebration...?!
