Yesterday marked 2 months with my cheesy monkey. He checked out great at the doctors office and is going to give Jackson a run for his money. We have got some big boys. Nash weighs 14.8lbs (98%), 23.8 in. long (82%), and 16.5 in. of a head still full of hair (92%).
Oh ma, it looks like I have a toupe!
Whew, I am ready for someone to walk me around in my car seat for an hour.
Nap time around this house is a hit or miss. Some days are spent trying to get Nash to nap, then Jackson, then Nash, then it is 5:00 and no one has really had a good nap. Jackson has not realized that if he lets Nash nap then we can play. I have to put Nash in his carrier and hide him in different places around the house. Jackson walks around 'ohhh nooo, where's da bebe? ohhh nooo.' Nash's favorite snooze spot was our bathroom. I would turn on the shower and the sound always knocked him out. Well it looks like we ran the water a little too long, yep water is currently leaking through our den ceiling. Lets hope this is an easy fix OR we could go ahead and re-do our bathroom. Just something simple...
HGTV... if you are reading, feel free to contact me at anytime to discuss details.
Charlie is in the Caribbean for one of his best friends weddings. I hope he is enjoying his rum & punch, peaceful dinners, basking in the sun, sleeping in... I really do, I am not one bit jealous, really. I thought I could handle it, just me and my boys hanging out for a few days. But my parents are going to visit my sister in Wilmington and suggested we come along. I have never packed so quickly. Cheers to the weekend and lots of helping hands!
I can spend a lot of money at Target. I can spend a whole lot of money at Target when no babies are involved. At least twice now my darling mother and mother-in-law have offered to watch both babies (as long as they have been fed) while I run errands. Ahm, hell yeah. I mean, are you sure you don't mind? I will be quick, and have my phone on... and peace out! I like to roll down all the windows, pump up some ghetto rap music, drink a caffeinated mocha frappaccino and take the long way there. Because I am crazy like that.
We have got ourselves a smiling little boy. Every now and then I have a rough morning - afternoon - evening - who am I kidding, day. Nash always seems to know when to flash me a sweet, sparkling eyes, dimple chin, sideways smile. He can change a mood in an instant. We all need a little more baby in our life.
I came in from outside after everyone had left to find him like this...
We had some people over yesterday for Charlie's 30th. I did not take a single picture during the party. Did anyone? Send my way if you did. My parent's were not able to come but Jackson filled them in via Skype on what happened. This went on for a good 30 minutes...
Christ the Lord is Risen Today! We had a wonderful Easter weekend full of family, friends and lots of delicious food. We all attempted to shower and dress in our Sunday best for church. Jackson fell asleep before we got there and Nash had a diaper incident, but we took pictures anyways!
Jackson would prefer to stay outside all day long. He loves to throw stuff in the pond, rake leaves, mow the street, look for geese doo-doo (yep), fish with dad, and play any kind of BALL. Thank goodness for this because when he is not outside he likes to eat. I have to hide food from him. His appetite is unbelievable, I can only imagine him as a teenager, he better like delicious subs! Last week in Wilson his aunt Natalie brought home Dunkin' Donuts and wondered if he would like one? And so begins the donut scene...
Have you ever seen a lady running down the middle of the street with her poor newborn's head bouncing around in her arms? Only to see a few yards ahead a toddler pushing his bubble mower as fast as he can cackling at the top of his lungs and hollering out 'bye bye.'
Yep, I had everything under control when a neighbor called out did I need any help. I mean at least we all had clothes on right? Three hours till dad gets home (he better not be late), we can do this!
It looked something like this only moments before the escape. Never put your guard down.
