Dookie-Rascals

Charlie and I couldn't stop laughing at how Jackson said 'lasagna' tonight at dinner.  We tried to get a quick video of it.  And like everything he decided to talk about dookie instead.  That is ALL they talk about these days.  Dookie, peepee, who pooted and weenies.  I don't really even notice it anymore.  When does it stop?

And this guy?  We are best friends.  Best friends that only talk about sweet smiley things.

My 3 sons

I admit, I am a 'Top 40' radio music junkie.  I like music, all kinds.  My CD case (yes I still have one) ranges from B. Spears to Creedance Clearwater Revival to DMX to Roger Miller to The Beatles lullabies for babies.  My life isn't too FANCY, but I do enjoy rolling down the windows in the suburban turning up the radio and pretending I am a rock star, come one who doesn't?  These are my current favorites that remind me of my biggest fans.

Summer Fun

We love summer around here.  But let's be honest, the days can be longgggg.  This week the boys have had 'camp' from 9-1 and we, I mean they, love it!  Otherwise we fill our day with obstacle courses, sesame street, making things and fighting.  ;)

Tuesday morning movies for $2! Parents are free! Popcorn is $1! We finally made it to one and all enjoyed the movie Rio.

Double Date night at the Durham Bulls Ballpark for the Triple-A All-Star Game.  'UNC' Clint caught a home run ball.

Hanging out with BEBE PHEO!

Pool time.  This boy loves a good pool break.

Jackson talked Tat-Tat in going down the slide!

Nash talked me in going down the slide!

2 months!

Mr. Theo turned 2 months old this weekend.  He was super pumped about it.  This dude is a pretty chill chunk of sugar and we are all in love with him.  Like we clobber him with wet slobbery kisses and lick his hair and bite his feet…?  I guess this is what they call 'brotherly love.'

Stats -
Height - 23.7" - 78 %
Weight - 14lb. 8oz. - 91%

Adventures in breast feeding...

Look at my two ginormous babies just waiting for one of these rockers to break.  At least they weren't fighting or yelling at the top of their lungs 'ready to wipe' or crying outside 'I want daddy' or accidentally sprinkling chips all over the floor.  You have to chose your battles.

The Lake!

Charlie took the older guys to Lake Gaston for a night this week.  I got to stay home with a case of pink eye (I know, gross) and hang out with baby Theo.  Everyone had an awesome time.  Thanks for letting us crash your vacation week sweet cousins.

We're on a boat!

Catching lots of big catfish.

Sweet cousin love.

A nice refreshing water slide.

So this is what it would be like to be an only child… ahh the life.
But for real, he took 3 hour naps, smiled all day at his mom and slept through the night! (jk he didn't sleep through the night but wouldn't that have been awesome!?)

Fan Fest

The Triple-A All-Star Game and Home Run Derby is being played in the Durham Bulls stadium this year!  They have a lot of different events leading up to the big game and yesterday we went to 'Fan Fest.' It was a really cool event where you got to check out the locker rooms, go on the field for some batting practice, race some players AND they had a bouncy house!  The boys love it.

Jackson loved Wool E. Bulls bedroom!  He is a mascot in the making.  Nash on the other hand was not about to go in there.

Racing Billy Hamilton.  2.9 seconds, base to base.  They were so close.

Hey! I am not afraid of mascots!

Throw Back Thursday

Everyone always ask who does Theo look like.  Or wow he looks just like Jackson.  Or wow he looks exactly like Nash.  The truth is, he looks like Theo and a lot like both of his brothers.  Handsome.  Here are some 'throwback Thursday' pictures for you.  Who is who?

Theodore Joseph - 7 weeks

Nash William - 7 weeks

Weekend Goodness

With a newborn on our hands we haven't really made any summer vacation plans.  I don't know why, the newborn is the easy part it is the other two that are not so easy.  ;)  But, it has worked out great.  There is so much going on right in our back yard.  We all love exploring the area on the weekends when dad is here for back up!  This past weekend we went to Jordan Lake.  I know it is 20 minutes from our house and I have never been.  We went to an awesome spot called Parker's Creek with a little beach area, play ground, grills, etc.  We will be back.  We ended the beautiful weekend with a Durham Bulls game.  America!

They were 'cold.'  We are not used to having no humidity in July thanks to Hurricane Arthur.

Watermelon!

'Hey mom, Theo likes the same shows as me!'

Post church book store reading.

Go Bulls! Go Baseball! Go Boys!

'Merica!!

Sure there are a lot of things wrong with our country, but I love America. I feel so lucky to have grown up in the USA and am very thankful I get to raise 3 boys here.  I look forward to many July fourths blaring out Lee Greenwood's, God Bless the U.S.A, in the back yard just as I did when growing up.
And I am proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free, and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me and I gladly STAND UP

American Studs

Our Annual neighborhood parade and party.  Maybe my favorite event of the year.

Mom! I'm going to da bouncy house again, ok?!
Because what can be more patriotic than a gigantic bouncy house.

A real firetruck that we can sit in!

So you are telling me I slept through the parade and cookout?! Dang I should have slept more last night.

Cul-de-sac baseball and sparklers, a perfect ending to a perfect day.

little get away

This past Sunday we decided to take a quick trip down to Wilmington.  We stayed at my sister's apartment that was vacant for the night.  Sunday we cooked out at one of my dearest friends house, mad I didn't take a single picture, and it was a delicious time.  The older guys are starting to be able to just play in the backyard without too much fighting so the adults can spend some actual time together!  Monday morning it only took us 3 hours to get packed up for the beach and then we stayed out there for 3 plus hours.  Success! After some naps we met another friend and her little boy at the one and only Chuck E Cheese! Who needs Disney World?

You can't rush cool.

1st beach trip at 6 weeks old.

License to chill.

Handsome boys.

I was there too! Posted up by the tent, paci in hand.

Chuck e cheese!!  The pizza is pretty good.

Worn out boys.
