bathroom!
You may recall, a while back our master bathroom started leaking and we decided on an all out renovation. It is just a bathroom, couldn't take too long or cost too much, right? I guess you live and you learn. But it is finished and it is awesome and I still have not moved any of our junk back in there so it is still nice and clean. It has been a little strange with no 'workers' coming in and out of the house. Jackson still asks about 'worka joe' daily and Nash still naps in his carrier in the downstairs bathroom with the fan on loud to try and drown out the noise. A few before and afters for your viewing pleasure. I take zero credit on the actual renovation but I do take credit in picking everything out. Looks like I have expensive taste.
Before: tiny entrance of carpet that leads to nasty tile, linen closet on right, clothes closet on left
During: Took out the floors, linen closet, vanity, tub and shower
After: Added a big door, moved the vanity down, slate floors, new hardware and a walk in shower!
Before: Standard 1990's brown cabinets with no hardware and a sweet mirror
After: This is the SAME cabinet. Pretty awesome handy work don't you think?!
Before: Tiny tub and tiny shower
After: Added a small linen closet
I think we will have a dinner party, use all of our fine china, serve drinks in our shower and eat off the floor. It is by far the nicest room in the house!

Target
Me: 'I need your help today at Target.'
Jackson: 'I want to go home, I don't like Target.'
Me: 'If you are really good we can look at the toys before we leave.' (He doesn't know you can buy the toys and bring them home, I plan on keeping it that way as long as possible.)
Jackson: 'I go to Target and I wanna get donut like mommy get!'
I've been had by my own son.

8 months!
8 MONTHS?! Nash-po-ta-toes is already 8 months old? You mamas out there know the saying...'takes 9 months to gain all those LBs, so don't beat yourself up, give yourself 9 months to lose them...' Well crap, that really snuck up on me. But it's not about me is it? Never....
What a stud. Nash enjoys laughing at his brother acting a fool, eating lil' crunchies (aka cheese puffs), cruising around in his walker, being outside and biting my boob. Whoops did I type that? He has got 4 front teeth now and the others are coming in strong. He has also had a rough week because we decided to let him cry it out at night. Crying it out deserves a whole different post and since we haven't actually succeeded in a full nights sleep yet, I will hold off with giving any advice. He doesn't seem to remember it in the morning as he stretches his arms out with a big grin on his face for me to pick him up. I love that grin, that hair, that belly, those feet, every thing about him!

bike rides
I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike! (sorry you got that stuck in your head all day...) The fall weather has been great around here. We decided to try out the bike seat. Nash and I made it to the end of the street and back before he had a melt down. If I wasn't going to wear a helmet, he sure didn't want to wear one. I can't say that I blame him.

Fair!
Jackson, Nash and I met my parents at the NC State Fair last week. The weather was beautiful, the fried oreos on point, we stayed away from the petting zoo, Nash was content watching all the action, Jackson loved the rides and won a stuffed neon green fish. It was good time had by all.
Give me a bite of that oreo lady...
They fixed it! I wan do dragon ride!
People around these parts are crazy...

baby girl shower!
Shower the people you love with love! Last week my sister and brother-in-law were in North Carolina for a whole week. This is the longest I have been able to hang out with them in way to long. Have I mentioned before that I hope they move back to the East coast, because if I haven't I really hope they move back to the East coast soon. I mean no pressure, just making sure they know how I feel. She is my sister after all and about to have my niece!
OK, on to the sweet little baby shower we had while she was here. We had a brunch at my parent's house and per Sarah's request we didn't use too much pink (whoops)...

Lots of 'pinterest' ideas going on here...
Sister, sisters... Natalie, Sarah, me, Brittni, and photo bomb Jackson
Funfetti cake pops that my mom made!
Donut/fruit skewers, sausage balls, cinnamon rolls, chic-fil-a chicken biscuits, what more could you ever need?
Mimosas & coffee, sorry pregnant lady none for you!
Getting crafty. We wrote wishes for baby on hearts that will be made in to a mobile.
Presents!

Baptism
Nash was Baptized yesterday morning at our church. I am so thankful God chose me to be Nash's mother. He has already given me so much joy. May God continue to bless this little boy.

Porch rocking with Granddaddy
Family picture attempt... we gave up on Jackson being in it.

5 years!
Tonight we toast to 5 years of marital bliss over chicken nuggets, fries, beers and bottles. I am one lucky girl. Cheers to many more years with my love!
PS - We are going to Riviera Maya Resort in December! Working on my bikini bod as we speak.

party on
We had a fantastic wedding weekend. Everything about it should featured in a Southern Living magazine, especially the bride. Ring bearer Jackson exceeded my expectations, walking down the aisle with his cousins and standing up front with his dad the whole time. (thank-you thumb) More pictures to come!

weekend!
The Tarheels have a big football weekend. Jackson has been to two games this year. The heels won by 60+ each time he was there, record breaking. I think he would make a pretty good mascot. This weekend they will be on their own though, because we have an even bigger weekend. Aunt Ginny is getting married and we will be celebrating all weekend long! Inspired by this sweet article I plan to take and actually be in lots of pictures to post up later. Hope your weekend is a fun time!
Excuse me people, can't miss kick-off!
Tackle them tarheels, he's safe!

stories
I love so many things about this blurry iPhone picture. I love that it looks like this picture that was taken a few months ago. They grow so fast. I love that Charlie and Jackson are tucked under the covers, both in desperate need of a bath. I love how Jackson still sucks his thumb and pulls his hair. I love how hard Nash is cheesing. I love that they read this $1 Happy Birthday Big Bird book every single night. I love that they are all mine.

tunes
Don't you hate it when you get a song stuck in your head. Today I found myself walking Greta around the neighborhood rocking this out. Pretty catchy Elmo...
I hope this tune will get stuck in Jackson's head. In my fantasy world I was going to have Jackson potty trained before Nash was born, ha-ha-ha. At this rate I might just wait it out and train them both at the same time.
