I'm not just any mom...

I'm a cool mom.  I know, these are the days, but if you don't dream of all your kids playing nicely by themselves while you sip a cold one and burn your old lady chest just a little, you are a lie.

sittin' on the dock of the bay...

The annual Farris Family beach trip!  We came, we saw, we did a lot of driving back and forth to baseball games!  It was a great week, and we are all already looking forward to next year.

HEY NOW...

YOU'RE AN ALL-STAR...

Nash made the SDLL Green teams all-stars this year and his daddy helped coach.  They were the 'B' team but boy did they blow all expectations out of the water.  Nash had a really fun group of kids on his teams (ok, fun moms for me!) that played well together and all stepped up their game.  Practice every single night really worked, wheewwww.

Sandlot bomb squad.  My favorite bad ass picture ever.

My lefty ripping it.

The BEST fan ever, giving the inside scoop to her daddy.

The BEST little brother ever.  Theo got in lots of reps himself and never complained as long as he had a snack in his hand.

After a nice long hot day of baseball, 10:30pm, they had more energy than I did.

J-man got asked to play up on the SDLL Orange team!  I warned him this year would be different, as in he might see a log of bench warming action.  He did, but in true Jackson Farris fashion he kept on smiling and trying and cheering.  His team did amaze-balls and they ended up State runner-ups.

Baseball mamas!  A lot of driving, a lot of washing, a lot of cup finding, we made it.  States was actually during our one beach week.  So when I say driving I mean we drove back and forth from the beach 5 times.  Lesson learned, plan beach trip later, your kid might be balling.

Let Freedom Ring!

Happy July 4th!  We celebrated like any true American by decorating our bikes for the annual parade, stuffing our faces, playing at the pool, and fireworks.  As a grown up it might be one of my favorite holidays.  Little prep, no presents, you can wear your bathing suit, and HOTDOGS.  I didn't get many pictures but that is OK, because look at THESE.  Jersey Mike's needed some professional shots for advertising so we all showered, found our least wrinkled shirts and asked a photographer from church to come and take them in 3 hours.  She came with her baby strapped on and slayed it.  I am in love with these pictures.  It is my blog, so I'll brag if I want to....

I might even print this bad boy, that is how much I like it.

VBS

We ALL spent the week at Vacation Bible School.  Our church reached out to me in a moment of weakness and way too far in advance and asked if I would be the pre-school director.  I would love to do it!  And I did love it and man did they teach me way more about Jesus than I could ever teach them and man do they have so much more energy than I ever do!
Theo had all his best buddies in his group AND Brooklyn!

I love when people take pictures of my kids.  Especially if they have an actual camera!
