We had a new baby-sitter this weekend, bless her. Theo has been a real stage-5 clinger these days, and baby-sitters are not his thing. I came home a little early expecting to have him still awake and what to my wondering ears... quiet! My basic instructions for sitters are 'do what you need to do.' They were all passed out fast asleep in my bed. Every single night when someone comes into our room, I lay there wide awake and contemplate moving the king bed to the playroom and letting them all pile in it. Because, sometimes you just gotta do what you can for some sleep around here.
Sports are back in action! Saturdays are for basketball and Sundays flag football. Everyone is in their happy place.
The Orange Crush gearing up for 8am practice and patience - coffee! Nash's #1 fans did not make it to this one and I think he enjoyed some QT time with coach Dad. He has been waiting to play for a long time and is enjoying being one of the better ballers on the team. It is what happens when you have a big brother.
The Flaming Tigers! I am not sure who enjoys this more, Jackson, or my dad, Coach Grand-dad Will. Jackson is one of the older players on this team which never really happens with a May birthday. The boy is dominating on some rebounds and shots and has so much fun doing it. I LOVE that huge bright smile after every play. Let's be real, I don't see an NBA career in his future so we are embracing it while we can.
And this picture. This is a 'Will' face and foot toss and follow thru if I have ever seen it. Kinda weird.
Are you ready for some football?! Flag Football had its first scrimmage yesterday. The Carolina Panthers were pumped. No good pictures or videos because, Theo, not so interested in watching. But I love my #1 QB coaching our little (big-gahhhh) boy.
Go Nashy Go!! This boy loves football and the rules and the plays and the scores and the mouth guard and not so much that it is flag.
It's Bo-time. After church on Sunday we stop by Bojangles on our way to flag football. Pound some chicken and fries, do some dabbing and sneak in a little sweet tea. All-Americans.
I have a very sensitive nose. It is even more sensitive when I am pregnant. And there is a fine line between the smell of eggs and farts. In a house full of dudes, I sometimes have no idea.
We had a busy weekend planned so I knew Friday evening we needed to chill and attempt a decent bed time. We went with early baths, pajamas, pizza and a movie. This is the first time we have ever really done this. Usually these guys don't last the entire movie or can't agree on one. We watched and made it through the entire movie, The Secret Life of Pets, which was cute. I hope to make this a little tradition.
We all scream for ice cream! The boys are well aware that I am pregnant and what comes along with it. A really boring, tired, impatient, hungry, large mama. This all goes away right when baby comes, right?! When dad works at night we feast on Dino Nuggets or Beefaroni - whichever their distinguished palette wants and then we have dessert. Usually ice-cream, because I like to pretend it helps with my unbelievable heart burn. Jackson even looked through the coupon book and marked the ice-cream pages. Like mother, like son.
Mama's pregnant and we know it!
Nothing to see here... Everything is under control... Oh you are going to sit in the other room... you should see them when they aren't being good.
Sunday evening was the Jersey Mike's 'Holiday' Party. We were running a little late with it and then snow happened, etc. It was a good time had by all and I nice way to let employees know just how much we appreciate them. The THREE stores are all going really well and I am a super proud wife. And junior J.Miker's got to ruin a lot of pool and Foosball games... my bad ya'll.
I had the BEST weekend with my favorite mamas. We all lived together in college, now live all up the East coast and chat on the daily. We have been trying to have a get together for a while but life happens. We pulled this off last minute and it was perfect timing. We met at Pinehurst Resort(I have never been - so close - so awesome), relaxed in the spa, went out to fancy meals, watched basketball, some had drinks, others m&ms. We let the dads come too and all the kids got to vacation with grandparents. I am already excited for next year!
