6 years old!!

Nash William Farris is SIX years old!  He has grown so much this past year, I could not be any prouder of him.  He is excelling in school (although he would prefer to stay at home some days).  My favorite part of the day is when we pick them up from the bus stop.  Jackson and Theo usually run ahead home but Nash walks with Winnie and me every step of the way telling us about his day.  He likes to show me all the work in his folder and tell me how he did everything.  He loves all things sporty and is a pretty athletic dude.  He is still as loud as can be.  I just have to open the front door and I can tell where all of the boys are because I can hear him loud and clear.  No sneaking by me, Mr. Nash, ever.  We celebrated him all weekend and he loved every minute of it.  I can't believe he is six years old.
Jersey Mike's for his birthday lunch at school!

His best buddy, Micah.  Even cooler, 'Micah is just 2 days older than me, but I am taller.'

Birthday dinner at Chuck E. Cheese's! Of course.  I freaking love this photo booth they have there.  How Chuck manages to get all our heads in there I have no idea.

The Farris Family hopes Chuck E. Cheese stays around forever.  For real, the pizza is not that bad or the salad bar or the beer and your kids can be as loud as they want.  Best start saving that change though.

Happy Birthday, Nash!!

Theo, the ladies man.

Winnie, my BFF, on the move.  We took a big ol bath right when we got home...

That he is!  Sometimes!

Six, going on 16.

Throw back, couldn't help myself.  They have come a long way.

That look when you get the present that mom told you you weren't gonna get.  Yessss.  It was a kids tech watch?!

A basketball win.  I asked him how did you get so good and tall? 'Guess when I turned 6.' And, hey Coach Will!

He had Micah's birthday party on his real birthday.  Talk about a good day.  And just dad got to take him.  A real good day.

My sweetest, studliest, punkiest birthday boy.  He is his father's child.

Had to finish off strong, Menchies!

Ohhhh myyyyy, heeelllllooo Menchies!

Life Lately

Science night at Creekside!  I was able to sneak away with just Jackson and Nash, we could actually do things and learn and talk and get our nerd on!

Good behavior reports all week from these 2 mean a special afternoon treat with Aunt Nat!  She took this picture, trips me out, Cinnabon is good to us!

No surprise here, Winnie liked it too!  Gonna have to start getting her one, ain't got time to be sharing my cinnamon roll!

J had his last basketball game this weekend.  It wasn't the best of seasons for the Seahawks, we will call it a learning season.  Still needed to celebrate with Jmikes and brownies!

Cutest fan girl! I have vivid memories playing in those pull out bleachers that are in all the dirty gyms when I was young.  Now it is Winnie's turn.

Found this on my phone.  It must have been in the car taken between basketball games and birthday parties.  Man oh man do they love to hate on each other.

Theo got to go with Will & Tat to Brooklyn's half time 'performance' at the Wake Tech Women's basketball game.  And this picture just melts my heart!

We have to take bath or shower every single night, no way around it.  Winnie was in there, but it was not safe to take the picture.

Flag football finally started.  The weather has been rainy the past 3 Sundays.  Jackson and Nash love it.  They should be on the same team, Nash straight dominated his age group, but they aren't, so we run back and forth between the two of them.  Also, Winnie attended 2 basketball games, 2 football games and 2 baseball practices.  And LOTS of car riding and snacks.

A Sunday evening cousins meeting at Nantucket.  We have been hitting this place up if the weather is nice.  You can sit outside and kids can run all around the field and fountain.  This is good news for everyone at the restaurant.

After school hangout in our soggy muddy back yard.  'What are ya'll doing.' "We are on ghost patrol!'

My dad's 60th birthday!! We celebrated adults only at the Brazilian Steakhouse.  The amount of meat consumed was disgustingly delicious.

I have had a raging migraine / headache the past few days.  We are still working on figuring out how to get it to go away and figure out any underlying causes.  I have had them before but nothing like this.  In the mean time dad has been letting me take a morning snooze while he gets everyone ready and out the door.  Then he brings up the sweetest girl to give me some loves.  The best.

Love Notes

I get some sweet love notes in this house full of boys.  They are usually from Nash, when he is in his room in trouble or when he should be going to bed - he is a sneaky one.  They all hooked me up for Valentine's Day.
I do still carry him...

Nash is super spishl to me!

'I actully just remembered I didn't get you a card so I did this on the bus.'  Perfect Jackson, just perfect.

10 months!

Better late than never, our girl is 10 months old!  She is a crawling, pulling up maniac. She loves to eat everything but is particular to little tiny crumbs she finds on the floor and mama's milk.  Winnie still goes with the flow but is starting to let her voice be known!

10 months! Don't try and act like you weren't at The Breakers without me, mom.

Come on man, get out my picture.

The Breakers

On Sunday I snuck away with my #1 boy to The Breakers in West Palm Beach.  He had a National Conference and spouses were invited - they even extended an invite to Winnie since she was the star of the show last time.  They didn't realize Winnie is now 10 months old and does not just chill in her carrier or sleep quietly during dinner meetings.  I did not realize she was going to be sick the days leading up to the conference.  I decided to get everyone and everything ready for my departure but to not get my hopes up, if any of my babes were sick I was gonna stay home.  But everything aligned up perfectly and healthy and we rolled out.  The kids had a fun time with an awesome tag team of grandparents and aunts and uncles and friends - they said everyone was just perfect.  The best thing about this trip, Winnie slept through the night for them.  (She has never done this for me, I am not exaggerating.  I think - hope - pray - they sleep trained my baby!)  Charlie and I had a great time at the conference, learning more about all the great things that Jersey Mike's does and how to take over the world one sub and good deed at a time.  I am a really proud wife and love being part of this franchise.
Theo - probably praying for his parents.

Third year in a row for the Globetrotters with Aunt Nat!  Jackson claimed this was the funniest one yet!

Ice cream so good, you can lick it off the couch.

A well fed and rested Winnie girl!

The only picture I took.  Whoops.  A morning walk on the beach all by myself.  Literally, no one out there, and it wasn't that early.  Kinda cool, kinda weird.  I texted this picture to Charlie, incase I went missing.

Love!

Two of my sweet Valentine's.  I love a good thigh roll and apparently a cheesy heart dress.

Tar heels

I had a real good ticket to a real good game but then my real good girl was sick.  I stayed home and snuggled and ate ice cream with my babes and we cheered hard in our pjs.  The Tarheels pulled out the win against Duke and I didn't have to sit in traffic and it is looking like we are on the mends?! Looking on the bright side over here and forward to Spring.

Her first 'sick' visit to the doctor.  I am impressed she has made it this long.  An ear infection and a nasty cold.  Sick babies are the worst.

Gymnastics?!

Sweet cousin Brooklyn invited Theo to a gymnastics class with her at the Little Gym.  I figured, sure we can let him go once if he wants to...  Ya'll, he was so freaking pumped up.  Thankfully I only told him an hour before go time because he could not stop talking about his 'gymnastics team.' He changed outfits 3 times, told his big brothers all about it, listened to 'We Will Rock You' on the way there and the best part about it, he was not disappointed.  It was so sweet and a little bit sad all at the same time.  He really is a good sport getting dragged to his brothers stuff every single day.  I have to put him on some sort of 'team' and he kind of rocked it at gymnastics?!

Contemplating which of his brothers old jerseys to wear.  I say he goes shirt less, hello 3 year old abs.

Went with the jersey and Brooklyn in her leotard.  Everyone else in school clothes, obviously they dominated.

Also, I took him, by myself. I just sat there watching him and mindlessly scrolling through my phone (lets be honest) and it was amazing.

Lil' sister

I love watching Winnie watch her big brothers.  At the young age of 9 months, she already adores them.  Any attention they give her and she lights up with a big grin.  They get all up in her face and yell 'winnie lou, my best girl ever,' I say scoot back, she lets out a belly giggle.  She waves her arm when she sees them and crawls over to get right in the action of whatever they are doing.  May she always know just how lucky she is, even when she is in high school...

Afternoon snacks and watching my brothers play football.

Basketball gamesssss, go Nash!!

It can be exhausting, go Jackson!
