20 weeks

Half way there! That is super exciting and super panicky all at once.  Some days I smile at the thought of two wild munchkins ruling my life and other days I wonder what the hell we were thinking.  I think my days of being somewhat organized and a little tidy are dwindling away.  But then again they were pretty much over when I married Charlie...  Bring on the chaos!

4 years!

Today Charlie and I are celebrating our Anniversary!  Four years of Happily Ever After, cheesy but oh so true.  He is still sweeping me off my feet...

dinosaurs

You know how kids have their 'thing' when they are little?  Mine was baby dolls and Charlie's was Dumbo, naturally.  Well Jackson's 'thing' is his mom, but he is also loving dinosaurs.  His favorite book is How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?  We have been reading it constantly for a good 10 months now.  We all have it memorized, including Jackson.  Before I turn the page to 'Does a dinosaur roooarrr?' Jackson already does his 'roar,' which is more like a super quick growl.  But what we just discovered is Dinosaur Train on PBS.  I now walk around singing 'Dinosaur traiinnn' all day long...

I dare even type this as I don't want to jinx anything.  I think we have gotten Jackson to sleep through the night AND go back to sleep on his own when he wakes up.  I mean it only took 16 months?!  This is something I will definitly try and be better about with baby number 2.  All it takes is some time, patience and a little routine - all of which I lack.  We had a few painful nights of letting him cry it out, but it really did get shorter and shorter each time.  We have been reading books every night while he drinks his milk and then putting him in his crib.  We try and do it around 8:30, but it kind of depends on when he naps, or if he naps.  Yep, now we just have to work on a nap routine!

Oh crap, I think my mom just tricked me into taking a nap!

Does anyone still watch The Office? It is a great show to watch as I mold into my regular 'i am pregnant' ice cream eating routine at night.  To my delight Breyers is buy one get one right now and Pam is pregnant with her second baby! I feel ya Pam...

At least Pam hasn't cut off all of her hair yet.  :)  This pregnancy has been exactly like it was with Jackson.  I have been feeling really well these past 19 weeks.  I was tired at the beginning and my back hurt but it always does so I can't even blame that on the baby.  I have already started my dosage of Zantac for some serious heartburn.  Looks like baby boy #2 may have a head of hair like Jackson.  I will embrace any aches and pains for a healthy baby.  My heart still overwhelms with joy every time I feel a little flutter kick in there.  The second time around is just as amazing as the first.

BOY!  We had an ultrasound to find out if Jackson will have a little sister or brother and NO doubt about it, a brother!!  Jackson went with us but definitly has no idea what is going on.  He was a lot more interested in putting things in and out of the 'hazardous do not touch container' and sticking q-tips in his ear - atleast it was his ear.  I think he may have a difficult time sharing his 'MAHHH' but being the helper copy-cat that he already is I am sure he will learn quickly!

10 year reunion!

This weekend I have my 10 year high school reunion.  Did you know if you are the senior class president then you are expected to organize the event?  Well you are, and although 'senior class president' looks good on college applications it will come back to haunt you 10 years later.  It seems as though everyone wants to know when the reunion is and what we are going to do but then no one actually wants go.  I am going to keep my hopes high and get pumped up by listening to the top 100 Hits of 2001 (all classics). If I could sober dance at the prom in 2001 surely I can now?!  And I still have a super hot date to go with me!
