Brosephs

The big brothers are still in love with Winnie.  They snuggle her with slobbery dirty kisses and I try to not cringe.  Her immune system is going to dominate by the time she is in Kindergarten. Otherwise business is usual for them...

And by business, I mean Theo finally did his in the potty!  Hopefully I am not jinxing it.  He got to pick out ANY toy he wanted from the toy store.  When he did the dirty in the potty he got to have it.  We have been looking at Basketball Guys (his pick??!!) on the top of our kitchen cabinet for about 2 weeks now.  And the other day, he ran inside, sat down and surprised himself and all of us! Woohoo!

Nash and Winnie are pretty much BFF right now.  He always checks on her, loves to burp her, and is always up for a snuggle.  It has come in very very very handy for me!  Wish he could 'milk her' as he calls it.  :)

Swarm!  This is an app on my phone because my bro-in-law used to work for them.  Basically you 'check in' places and your 'friends' can see where you are, you can see tips for restaurants, post pictures, etc.  You can also get coins.  I don't even know the point of it.  Anyhow, Jackson has discovered it and in all his gaming glory thinks it is awesome.  He is on it any chance I will let him.  Like most males, the bathroom is his favorite 'reading' spot.  Leaving me with lots of selfies...

2 weeks!

Two weeks!  Say it ain't so!  I can't believe it either Winnie.

Two weeks of a lot of feeding time, means a lot of random internet crap on my phone.  This though, this is too good not to share.  I can't get it out of my head.  I need to step up my story time game.

Sneak Peak

I got a 'sneak peak' of our pictures we had taken on Sunday.  If these two are the only ones that turned out, I am completely satisfied.  Amber Byrd  rocks at taking family pictures, patience is a virtue and boy does she have it!
Welcome to the world Winnie!  We love you so much!

Winnie's biggest fans!

Weekend First

Winnie experienced her first weekend.  Rise and shine, we don't sleep in around here!  She is still in the newborn sleepy stage.  Her longest sleep seems to be after an early morning feeding, right as I put her down and long for some zzz's, I hear a bedroom door open... coffee time.  Highlights included her first ball game, a new born photo shoot, (whew, talk about not relaxing, she did great, her brothers, holy moly, I remember why I have never done this before, I will be glad when they come back I am sure, but wow, ok, I digress, too much coffee) and her cousins first birthday party!

Go Dodgers!  Nash was pumped to be Winnie's first baseball game.  He checked on her lots. :)  High five big bro!

The first of many for Miss Winnie!  Note - I did not attend a funeral, but may need to invest in some clothes that fit and get to walking, sigh.

We had overlapping baseball games at 8:30am (come on man...) which left us with the entire day to play!  Thankfully Will came over for some baseball, basketball and football.  Best play mates, friends, enemies, brothers ever.

Some front porch rocking.  Look at that sugar bowl!!

Happy 1st Birthday Eleanor!  Winnie slept through the entire thing.  I drank Sangria and ate all things out of the Very Hungry Caterpillar book.  It was fantastic.

1 Week Winnie!

Winnie has been here for 1 entire week!  She is a rockstar.  Her brothers and I are still hectic as all get out but that is to be expected.  She is a very serious little lady.  She does crack a smile when she lets out a big ol stinker, so I think she will fit right in around here.  She is getting some serious loves (germs) and accepts them like champ.  She is teaching her big brothers a thing or two about female anatomy, sleeping, eating (again?!!), and pooting.  She is everything I imagined and more more more!
I am a big fan of just hanging out in your nightgown all day, but girls are fun to dress!

Found her like this after the boys left for preschool (haleluia preschool!).  You can never be too sure of what might go down while you are away! ;)

Easter Blessings!

I was set on being at home for Easter with our brand new family of six.  And guess what? Charlie, Winnie and I were fast asleep when the bros headed downstairs to check out their Easter baskets.  Sneaky rascals.  I didn't know they were up until Nash ran upstairs to tell me even Winnie got a basket!  Oh well.  I appreciated the extra zzz's more than they know.

I feel ya Theo.

My Easter chicks getting in some morning cuddles.

The boys at church.  He is Risen!  An Easter picture with cousins.  I am so happy Winnie has these sweet ladies close by to teach her all things pretty and pink.

Winnie wearing my first Easter dress for a little photo shoot.  Sorry little lady, get used to it.  Girls are fun!

Birthday Daddy

Happy 35th Birthday to Charlie!  Daddy's birthday was on Friday, he got to hang in the hospital with his girls and then bring us home.  I could not ask for a better partner in this life than Charlie.  His love for life and those around him is contagious and I hope all of our babies pay close attention to his every move.

#4!  Still just as exciting, scary, overwhelming, loving and amazing as ever.  Thanks be to God.

A father's love.

First night home, Birthday partying!  Also, can you believe she was in my stomach 5 days ago?!

Saturday we celebrated with the big brothers coming back home from Wilson and the Carinci cousins meeting new baby Winnie!  Happy Happy 3-5!

Baby Winnie!

She is here! Winslow 'Winnie' Louise Farris was born on April 12, 2017 at 9:39am.  She weighed 9 lbs. 2.5oz. and was 22 inches long.  We are all so in love with Miss Winnie.  We saw Dr. Frenduto for the fourth time (woohoo, unheard of these days) and the c-section went as planned.  Winnie had a little issue with her blood sugar but otherwise was perfect.  Hope to keep up with some blogging but until then, you get iPhone pictures.  Four is gonna be tough ya'll.

The big morning!  Although I had major surgery and am achey as all get out, I feel sooo much better with this baby on the outside!

Super proud big brothers!  Tat-tat had these shirts made, and they are amazing.  Sister Protection Agency is in full force around here.

OR picture!  Winnie stayed with us the entire time.  I did not get nauseated or a headache, so much better this time around.  I knew it would be my last and wanted to 'enjoy' it.  When they pulled her out Charlie said, oh sweet little girl, smaller than the boys.  Or not.

My Winnie Louise.

My most favorite picture to date.

GIRL Nursery

Nothing like a little 'frantic nesting' the day before baby Winnie arrives.  It is looking very sweet and pink!  Theo doesn't mind one bit, fool still sleeps in the crib.

Go daddy go.

Oh la, la!

Pictures to come.  Girl has been hooked up with so many baby clothes!

Eggs!

We have already had our fair share of Easter egg hunts and candy this weekend.  The boys had one at their preschool on Friday.  Theo dominated the 2 year old section and told me, 'MOM! You gotta be quick!'  I was proud and a little embarrassed as I snuck eggs out of his basket and threw them back on the play ground.  Our neighborhood had an Easter Egg Hunt and potluck on Sunday afternoon.  We had a talk before it started on just being able to get 12 eggs each.  'Oh my gah, that makes no sense.'  A little dramatic Jackson...

Easter egg hunting punks.

Bounce House!

Handsome little devil.

12-ishhhhh

Spotted an egg, I'm out!

Palm Sunday

My last Sunday as a 'mom of boys' and their baby sister is already taking over the family pictures.  I am so excited for these boys to have a little sister.  Almost as excited as me being able to breath and 'sleep' and walk again.  God gives us 9 plus months to prep for a little baby and although you are never really ready for a child you are ready to not be pregnant.  This Spring Break will be like no other, that is for sure!

Champs!

And the 2017 NCAA National Champions are the North Carolina Tar Heels!  It wasn't the prettiest game I have ever watched but we came out on top with the win.  Boys went up at half time and watched the second half in the morning over cinnamon rolls, Jackson peaked at the news and knew they already won, it was much more relaxing the second time around.

A little throw back to the last National Championship, senior year 2005.  I thought I was 'busy' and 'tired' the day after this game, bah hahahaha.  If you don't know, now you know!

Weekend Goodness

'Why does the weekend go by fast in like 90 minutes, ugghhh' - Jackson.  I feel ya buddy.  This weekend was a good one, but we could use an extra day (or 2) around here, tomorrow is another big one for us Tarheels!

We had some baseball games and special fan Grandmama came to watch!

Climbed some trees after pre-school, be careful Theo, I am no help.

Our Supper Club had a murder mystery Great Gatsby style on Friday night.  Thankfully mobster 'Billie Baird' did not go into labor as 'Handsome Sam' would not have been a good ride to the hospital.

The crew.  Only one girl wasn't supposed to wear a flapper outfit, the host with the most planned accordingly and let me be the gangster!

More baseball.  Post game talk with Coach Charlie, the Angels and his biggest fans.

Final Four Game Time!  Our neighbors had a culdesac party where we pre-gamed and watched the game.  We headed home at half to get serious.

 Heels house!

Sunday was gorgeous!  We went to church and then our small group had a cookout.  We are all a worn out crew tonight but excited for tomorrow!! TAR....!!!
